ZiroBop is a quartet led by Italian drummer Enzo Zirilli, whose influences musicians as diverse as John Coltrane, The Beatles, Miles, Mingus, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Art Blakey, Simon & Garfunkel, Joao Gilberto , Jobim, Frank Zappa, James Taylor. This band, currently very active on the Italian jazz scene, performs music written by each of the band members as well as quirky and ‘broken’ arrangements of jazz standards and pieces by Italian musicians such as Pino Daniele. The quartet has released two albums, ZiroBop (2015) and Ten to Late! (2018).
